Yoshiko Fuji (不二 よしこ Fuji Yoshiko) is one of the characters introduced in Prince of Tennis Fanbook 10.5. She is the mother of Yumiko Fuji, Shūsuke Fuji and Yūta Fuji.
Personality[]
Yoshiko appears to be a kind mother and a devoted housewife. In the brief pages she is seen on in Fanbook 10.5, she is shown to be getting ready to call her husband to welcome him home despite him being in another country.
Etymology[]
- The name Yoshiko is written in hiragana (よしこ), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (良子, 芳子 or 悦子), it could possibly mean:
- 良子 - "good, virtuous, respectable" (良) (yoshi) and "child" (子) (ko).
- 芳子 - "fragrant, virtuous, beautiful" (芳) (yoshi) and "child" (子) (ko).
- 悦子 - "joy, pleased" (悦) (yoshi) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Yoshiko's surname Fuji means "unique, peerless, unparalleled, matchless, unexampled, superlative, unequaled, unmatched, unsurpassed" (不二).
