Takei Toshio is a 3rd Year High Schooler appearing in U-17 Camp and is introduced as initially a player of the 3rd Court along with Nakagauchi Sotomichi, Miyako Shinobu, Washio Issa, Suzuki Shun and Matsudaira Chikahiko. However the 3rd Court lose to the 5th Court in the team shuffle so he and the others are now members of the 5th Court.

Takei Toshio being effortlessly defeated by Oni Juujiro.
Takei is first seen during the Team Shuffle between 3rd Court and 5th Court and plays as the reserve player against Jūjirō Oni after a long drawn out encounter between the two courts due to Kanata Irie pretending his arm was too injured to play, his match ends in a no-game meaning Takei has to play Oni. Oni over-whelms Takei 6-0, with Oni not even needing to use his special move. Meaning the 5th Court defeat the 3rd Court and the two courts switch places. Making Takei a member of the 5th Court.
However, Takei ends up being chosen as one of the players chosen to take on the top 20 players of U-17 Japan. the 1st Stringers return from their Foreign Expedition and Takei takes on No.17 Mitsuya Akuto and is utterly defeated.
