Timothee poses

In the quarter-finals against Japan, he plays in doubles 2 alongside the same partner from the UK match, Tristan Bardot, against Kuranosuke Shiraishi and Ikuto Kimijima. At the start of their match, it seems that Tristan knows Kimijima as he thanks Kimijima for still letting him able to play tennis during tournaments as he was almost banished from the tennis world because of his handsome face. Tristan clearly states however that it is not the time to return favors. Kimijima tries to negotiate with them by saying that they should go easy on them as his partner is still a middle schooler. Timothee disagrees with this by acting indifferently and Tristan states that they are defying Timothee's aesthetics by that and that would also be unfair for Shiraishi. Kimijima then accepts Tristan's decision.

One of his poses

As Tristan serves for the first game, he was surprised how both Shiraishi and Kimijima are defending the back side of the court, however, he shouts that they won't caught them off-guard. Timothee scores then by doing a double-fake to return Shiraishi's shot. As each of them scores, Timothee, Tristan, and Kimijima strikes poses, aside from Shiraishi who was still troubled with his own play style. Eventually, France wins the first set, 6-2.

Timothee in action

During the second set, Tristan notices how Kimjima had abandoned his partner as Kimijima returns all their shots. Timothee outsmarts Kimijima by hitting a lob, however, it was just all in accordance with Kimijima's plan. Shiraishi then hits a power shot from the back which surprised Tristan as he cannot believe that Shiraishi was a power player. Japan then starts to counterattack with Shiraishi's change in play style as he starts to focus on different dimensions as he hits the shots, unlocking his new technique, Star Bible. Tristan then admits that he cannot predict Shiraishi's playstyle since its continuously changing. As Kimijima and Shiraishi starts to take the momentum, Kimijima hits the killer shot which would make Tristan and Timothee unable to return their shot as it is in between them. However, both Kimijima and Shiraishi were surprised as both Tristan and Timothee are ambidextrous. Eventually, Japan managed to make the set into a tie.

Timothee and Tristan reveals that they are ambidextrous players

During the tiebreak, Shiraishi misses his first serve, giving France a point. Tristan is still challenged as Shiraishi and Kimijima still seems to have a plan. In the manga, Tristan notices Timothee's father in the audience and reminds Timothee that they should not lose the match. Timothee then recalls his past as his father was a struggling painter and what he can do is to win his matches in order to make his father happy and proud of him. As the tiebreak reaches match point, Shiraishi tries to hit a smash, however, Tristan was able to predict the shot and returns it. Kimijima tries to return Tristan's shot, however, the ball did not went over the net. The game ends with Timothee and Tristan's victory, 6-2, 7-6.
