You guys must be high if you really think you can win without me!
— Dorgias to his teammates

Background[]

Dorgias is a player representing the Australian U-17 World Cup Team.

Appearance[]

He bears a striking resemblance to the Australian Professional tennis player, Nick Kyrgios.

Dorgias wears a mouth guard and has one earring.

Personality[]

He is quite rude as he didn't care what Leon had to say. Instead of listening to him, he threw Leon into the beach and kicked Atobe into the beach just seconds later.

He does get along with his younger brother quite well though.

Dorgias lashes out at his teammates with jeers. His anger at his brother’s repulsion from the tennis academy, being chosen as a representative disregarding the true power of his little brother is nothing but irritation. A shattered dream turned his anger towards his team! The time has come for past troubles to awaken!

History[]

Pre-World Cup[]

Dorgias insults Atobe

In the anime, he meets only Atobe as he walks with his dog, Koala. He forces Atobe to move out of his way as he is interrupting his walk. Atobe refuses however which pissed him, letting him to throw a tennis ball to Atobe. Atobe was able to return it but Koala catches the ball. Dorgia then kicks Atobe out of the bridge and insults him as a loser. Dorgia walks away laughing, making Atobe angry.

Group League[]

Prior to Australia's match with Japan, JJ visited his brother where he peeled an apple for him. Noah tells him the best strategy for defeating Japan.

He was presumably meant to play in singles one but because Atobe taunts him, he abruptly announces he will play singles three to keep Australia in the game. He wanted to play Oni but Kintaro steps onto the court instead.

Dorgias struggling to score against Kintaro

Dorgias then engages in a tight match with Kintaro, who is using the Ten'i Muho no Kiwami against him. Dorgias seemed to be exhausted, although he manages to keep on par rallying with Kintaro who isn't tired at all. Atobe comments that normal tennis would not be able to beat perfection. Kintaro leads 4-3. Dorgias starts to feel pissed about what happens in the match. Just as Atobe provokes him as he struggles against a kid, Dorgias aims to throw his broken racket to Atobe, threatening the audiences as well. Dorgias then receives a boo from the whole audience, saying that he's a disgrace to Australia. Noah then hears all the boos, stating that his brother is the pride of Australia. Dorgias then calms himself down and starts to counterattack. Kintaro still has the upper hand, yet Dorgias manages to scores and play evenly with him.

Dorgias forfeits the match, taking the bird to a veterinarian

During the changeover, Dorgias appears to be too exhausted already, spilling his water bottle. Chris then approaches him, saying that he still hates him but he should just fight until the end. The other Australian members then cheers him on after hearing Noah's story about Dorgias. Dorgias then gets more resolve to fight and fights more evenly with Kintaro. Atobe comments then that this happens because Dorgias isn't fighting by himself anymore. Noah adds that Dorgias had been able to fulfill their dream of playing doubles together. Dorgias comments to himself that it has been a long time already since he felt that excitement while playing tennis and that he never expected it to be because of a foreign kid. As Dorgias threatens to take advantage, Kintaro counters and reminds him of how Ryoma left the team without settling teams with him. Kintaro let out all this frustration in one shot which Dorgias managed to return back, however it had too much force that it is supposed to go outside. Surprisingly, the ball hits a bird (Pale Thrush Child Cormorant) and made it inside. The umpire declares that the game should be redo. Kintaro was confused as it should be just be given to Dorgias as a point. Dorgias, however, gets the bird and declares that it would be Kintaro and his team's win. Chris then asked to call the nearest veterinarian available. Noah comments that it is just Dorgias nature to be caring about animals. The match then ends with Dorgias forfeiting the match and with Japan's straight wins against Australia.
