First Appearance
Genius 073: Drive B

A topspin drive volley with two consecutive bounce arcs, the shape of which form the eponymous 'B'. The user usually slides up near the net and then jumps to hit the Drive B. Despite the swing of the drive volley being high and hard, the momentum of the slide and jump adds even more topspin than the natural amount that Ryoma would normally add from a normal topspin swing, allowing the ball to curve down and drop quickly.

However, during Echizen's match against Aoi Kentarō in the anime, Ryoma also uses a Drive B when he is still sliding on the ground. He then uses the force made by the ball to go even faster. Though it grants him more speed, this version lacks the regular Drive B height; due to the topspin, it curves towards the ground instead of going out.

During Ryoma's match against Tanishi of Higa, Ryoma attempted to use Drive B to return Tanishi's Big Bang serve, showing that despite the move normally being a drive volley, he can use it as a service return as well.

This is Ryoma's first original shot (as opposed to moves he copies from other players), and is first used in his match against Fuji Yūta. Besides the twist serve, it probably is his most notable shot, In the English dub, it has been renamed Drive V.

In the New Prince of Tennis, when Ryoma played against Dudu Obandu, he was shown to be able to hit the Drive B on the Super Sweet Spot, increasing the height of the bounce as a result in an attempt to hit a shot over Dudu's Super Jump.
