The match started out in Fuji's favour very quickly, thanks to the Disappearing Serve. This excited Jiro to wake up and play more seriously. He surprises Fuji with his accurate Serve and Volley play.
However Fuji eventually realises that Jiro's weakness was at the baseline so Fuji kept hitting to the baseline. Fuji also reveals his third counter Hakugei. He also uses the other two, Tsubame Gaeshi and Higuma Otoshi during this match. This allows Fuji to quickly secure victory.
