A Message for Echizen (Echizen he no Messēji [越前へのメッセージ]) is the 74th episode of the original Prince of Tennis. It was originally aired on the 19th March 2003.
Summary[]
Tezuka challenges Ryoma to another match using his right hand, and successfully uses the right-handed Tezuka Zone against him.
Synopsis[]
Tezuka asks Oishi to be the captain, but he refuses. Instead he tells him that he'll be the temporary captain until Tezuka comes back from Germany.
Tezuka tells the Seigaku regulars and club members that he will be leaving Japan for Germany because of his shoulder. He tells them that Oishi will lead them until he comes back. While he dismisses the other members, he tells Ryoma to get on the court and that he'll have a match with him. Ryoma agrees and they start playing. Tezuka starts using Tezuka Zone, which Ryoma is unable to break through.
